Mission Statement

North Georgia Code Officials Association (N.G.C.O.A.) is a professional organization of individuals who meet 4 times a year to develop a working relationship with others involved in developing, enforcing, and properly using codes.  The overall objective is to create a better working relationships and understandings of the need and application of codes and the building trade in order to create a safer environment to all involved.

About Us

North Georgia Code Officials Association is currently comprised by local municipality code officials, fire department inspectors, residential home inspectors, and others who are involved in the knowledge, understanding and enforcement of building related codes.  North Georgia Code Officials Association currently has approximately 100 members and is available to others for an annual fee of $25.00 per person upon approval of the organization. 

The following links and pages will help both the professional and laymen to better understand, find resourses, make contacts, and better understand the the codes used in the North Georgia area.  The counties targeted by this organization include the following:

Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dade, Dawson, Elbert, Fannin, Floyd, Forsyth, Franklin, Glimer,Gordon, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walker, White, and Whitfield.
